To the Hatton community,
You may have already seen the updated video on Class Dojo showing you the latest developments at our new Upper School site. The contractors have been hard at work on the first phase, demolition, and now the rebuilding work begins. The new walkway is currently being installed, giving easy access to all rooms. These are exciting times as our new school building begins to take shape.
The timeline for completing the project has been revised and we are now plan to move into our new building in time for us to start the new year in school September 2026.
Milestones for pupils’ transition to the new school structure:
July 2025: Building works started, the transformation of our new school began.
July 2026: Transition visits for pupils and open day/evening for families
September 2026: Pupils and staff in year 4 and 5 will move to the new upper school site. Pupils in reception, year 1, 2 and 3 will remain at Roding Lane. Year 6 pupils will also stay at Roding Lane for their final year at Hatton.
We will be holding another information and updates meeting, with representatives from the local authority, in the new year.
