TEACCH
The TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication-Handicapped Children) framework focuses on the use of structured teaching to help our pupils understand their environment, build independence, and learn new skills.
At Hatton, we implement TEACCH principles by organising physical spaces clearly, providing predictible daily schedules, and using visual work system. This structured approach drastically reduces anxiety by answering important questions for our learners visually: what am i supposed to do? How much am I expected to do? And what happens next?
Attention Autism
Attention Autism is a highly engaging, four-stage intervention framework designed by Gina Davies to developed natural, spontaneous communication through building intense attention and shared focus.
Often referred to as "Bucket Time" in its early stages, our teams use highly motivating, visually captivating group activities to capture our pupils' curiosity. By making learning an irresistable invitatin, Attention Autism helps our pupils develop essential skills like shared attention, turn-taking, listening, and joyful group interactin ina supportive and fun classroom environment.
