Parent & Carer workshops
At Hatton, we believe that working in partnership with families is key to helping our pupils thrive. Our Family Support Team runs regular, practical parent & carer workshops throughout the school year. These sessions are designed to share proven specialist strategies, offer practical advice, and provide a welcoming space for parents and carers to connect and share experiences.
Core Workshop Topics
Positive Behaviour Support
Discover proactive strategies to understand, manage, and support your child's emotional regulation and behavioural needs. We share practical, visual frameworks and positive reinforcement techniques used daily within our classrooms to create consistency between school and home.
Sleep Support & Routines
Many children with special educational needs experience unique sleep challenges. These workshops offer expert guidance on establishing calming bedtime routines, addressing sensory disruptions, and introducing sleep strategies to help your child, and your family, to get a better night's rest
Toileting & Independence Skills
A practical, supportive session focused on developmental readiness and stress-free toileting strategies. We break down the steps of toilet training using clear visual schedules, social stories, and tailored sensory approaches to help your child build confidence and personal independence.
