Hatton Special School, of Roding Lane South, was raising money to provide a splash pool for children at the school.

The golf tournament certainly created a splash, with 56 golfers donating £3,001, the highest of any fundraising event

Hatton school golf society has organised.

It was held at Woolston Manor Golf and Country Club, in Abridge Road, Chigwell, on Sunday, with help provided by sponsor PC Foods UK.

School governor and event organiser, Gulnawaz Yasin, said:

“I would like to thank everyone attending for their generosity and support.

“We were hoping to raise £3,000 so it is a great achievement.”
