Manford Primary Satellite
Royal Albert Hall Trip
On 14th March three children from the satellite class in Manford performed in a fantastic celebration of Redbridge Music at the Royal Albert Halls. Valentina, Talal and Ali have attended choir rehearsals on a weekly basis since September and worked to hard to memorise difficult harmonies and a lot of lyrics - the results were amazing! Our children sang with passion and loved performing in such an amazing venue! Their behaviour was exemplary throughout the day, we travelled by public transport and walked long distances on crowded London streets - but at all times our children remained calm and followed instructions. The children deserved their treat at McDonalds and made memories to treasure for a long time to come! All three children have made friends with their mainstream peers through attending choir rehearsals - it has been a lovely example of inclusion, through music, bringing smiles to faces!
5G in Manford have also had the opportunity to learn Samba drumming with the amazing Mr Mitchell this term! The children have worked so hard to develop key skills such as eye contact - and as a result they are now and able to enjoy call and response drumming in true Samba band style with Mr Mitchell! Mr Mitchell retires soon and we will all miss him very much!
